Meet Renee
Renee has spent years helping others navigate housing systems. When unexpected documentation challenges from the past resurfaced during a difficult period of loss and responsibility, her own housing stability was put at risk. Through King County Veterans Services, Renee connected with Wellspring and with a Housing Stability Specialist who worked alongside her to resolve complex paperwork issues, communicate with property management, and protect the home she had worked hard to maintain. Her story shows how partnership can make stability possible when challenges arise.

Meet Kory
As an Army veteran and Federal IT professional, Kory spent years helping improve the systems that support housing assistance across the country. But after a sudden layoff and a period of personal strain while supporting his teenage child, he found himself navigating those same systems from the other side. Through King County Veterans programs, Kory connected with Wellspring and with a Housing Stability Specialist who stayed in close contact, helped coordinate services, and provided steady support during a time of uncertainty. With the right partner beside him, Kory was able to regain stability and move forward with confidence.
Today, Kory is determined to use his lived experience and technical expertise to support other veterans facing crisis.
